Prompt service. But I had a bad experience. Did a full-color sign with lots of black. 25 full-cover yard signs at 18x24 inches. A $300+ dollar order. There were different pigmentations in the black, and the true-black areas printed out more as gray and the pigmented black areas printed out as dark black. Making the sign look like this (5 samples below, taken with my cell phone in normal lighting). Compare it to the pre-printing PROOF I was sent (also below) And you'll see the difference no matter what computer or lighting you are using. I called and had a long discussion, noting that the shading differences in the black were quite noticeable and look unprofessional. I was told it was due to differences in pigmentations in the black of the image. This is, of course, correct. There are differences in pigmentations of the black. My problem comes here: these differences simply were not visible in the original file, no matter how much you zoom in, nor in the proof I was sent, no matter how much you zoom in. So there was no way I could know they would print this way. This is a published book and the images used have printed out fine by the publisher. I was told I could edit the file and then submit it for reprinting at full cost. Are you serious? Ok, its one thing to have a bad print. It's another to not own up to it and take care of the customer. I asked what the purpose of the proof was if it isn't to give an accurate representation of how it will print? I was told the shading differences did not show up on the proof but they were visible only in the printer's professional software. I asked why, if the printer noticed these shading differences, why didn't he reach out to me or at least send me a screenshot of his screen before printing? I was told that is not the practice. They only send the proof. With respect, what is the purpose of the proof then if it might not show you how its going to print? I don't want to make a mountain out of a mole-hill, but the I was thrilled with the proof (you can see it below, it looks great. All the black is rich and deep and even), but then disappointed with the actual product. After about 30 minutes on the phone I was finally given only a 50% refund. I was tired, and accepted it. But that's the end of my use of them. I understand sometimes things print differently than you expect. But either way, if, for ANY reason it prints seriously different from the proof that you send the customer, you should offer a refund. Period. That's what a proof is for. I can't be expected to do a pixel by pixel analysis of every drop of black, can I? And further, if, as I was told, the printer could indeed see the shading distinctions in his professional software-- distinctions which were not visible in the proof I was given, I feel he should have at least given me a call to warn me. Ten seconds. Rather than print a $300.00 order and send it to my doorstep. Hey, I wish the company all the best. Just be warned, if you have black in your image and if it has different pigmentation in it, it might print in different shades. And this might not show up in the proof.
[I gave them 2 stars because they had pretty good turn around speed. I'd say about a 5 business days.]
