Rib Crib is my new most favorite BBQ place of Any state. Located in Benton, AK on the Eastbound side of I-30 you might miss it but it’s worth backtracking to get yourself Here- where the giant St Louis rib plate has off the bone tenderness via a rub or a sticky Okie sauce.

The table choices of extra BBQ for slathering are a mild Okie barbecue sauce, a truly medium heat but Excellent spicy barbecue sauce, and a hard to beat Carolina vinegary mustard sauce you won’t find much like it for the next 400 miles.

If you see the Buck-ee’s signs suggesting you “Hold It” for 530 miles and then the signs later for holding it for just another 480 miles or so you are ready to start mapping your way to the Rib Crib.

Baby back ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, sausage, sides aplenty and new Fried pies in Peach, Apple, and Blackberry.

Five Stars isn’t enough considering they were open when the Steak House wasn’t anymore due to ice.

The staff is warm and helpful and the kitchen staff were busy with a large group but I got my food before I was done washing the road off my hands.

I drove from Dallas to Burlington NC on this trip and I’m stopping here on the way back.

The coleslaw just tasted like watery mayo, & the burgers were unusually greasy. The crib fries were good as was the pulled pork sandwich. The service was great though.

Update:ordered Smoked Chicken Cobb salad. It was pretty good but the meat was cold.

We ordered the Club, Ribs, loaded cheese fries and kids Chicken strips. All the food was excellent except the corn on the cob wasn't fresh. This is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. Service was great, fast waitress was friendly.

Update, They changed their menu. What I got here last time is no longer available. I got the smokey chicken sandwich. The meat was cool, and the bacon was not fully cooked. I will think twice before coming here again. Food is way too expensive to get cold food and undercooked food. I would NOT recommend the smokey chicken sandwich.

On a previous visit I got...
I highly recommend the flying pig. My son got the chicken strip with fries. My daughter got a burger with a side salad. My wife got chicken pork and turkey. Everything was delicious.

2nd visit and decided to go ahead and try their signature dish. The RIBS!!! I mean it's their namesake, right? RIB Crib. Wrong!!! The ribs were not done and what was more surprisingly disappointing was the fact that RIBS, were not done and had to use a fork to pry the meat off the bone AND the worst part.....the membrane had not been removed from the ribs before or after smoking. NOTHING screams amateurs more than membrane being attached to the rib and expecting the guests to have deal with it. I attached the photos for proof of this. NOT what i was expecting from a place with RIBS in their name. Best thing that was brought to the table this visit was a side order of bone in wings. Perhaps they should consider a name change to the Wing Crib. Server was great and attended the table regularly. My girlfriend ordered brisket and it was decent but not completely finished with more of a dry and rubbery texture. She enjoyed the beans and chicken wings more than the brisket and potato salad. Not sure this was money well spent and will not order ribs from here again.

Interesting place. A mix between a fast food restaurant with a drive thru and a sit down bbq joint with relatively high prices. Pulled pork was good! Fries weren’t hot. Service was mediocre at best, waitress seemed to have a bit of an attitude when we ordered beers and had no idea how much they would cost when we asked. She didn’t offer to find out, just said it would be bottle prices. Soda is only drink offered with the kids meal, and it was EXTREMELY hot inside when it was low 70s outside. Bottle of Michelob Ultra was $4.50. We won’t be back.

Today the service and the food were both FANTASTIC. We got pulled pork & smoked chicken to make sandwiches at home. I also got the smokin' chicken nachos and they were amazing as always!
