Mid ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The ice cream flavors are kinda unique and its definitely artisanal and not the type of ice cream you can just buy from brand names in stores. For example, I was really excited for their spearmint flavor, cause I love mint. I tasted it, and it tasted exactly like a spearmint leaf! Impressive, but not what I want to eat a whole scoop of. It seems like a lot of their flavors are like this, more flavor accuracy and less yummy sugar which is what a lot of people want in ice cream.
Also, the waffle cones are bland like cardboard and not very stable. My girlfriend and I had to get cups because the cones would've fallen apart 🙁
The atmosphere was awesome though! Sad that the train doesn't run anymore. (Edit: apparently the train does still run!) And the staff was nice.

I love Rori’s Artisanal Ice Cream! For Mothers Day 2024 you offered a special Peach Bellini with specs of mint. Please bring it back as a standard flavor! I love the Arroyo Grande location the most because the ice cream cases there keep the ice cream cold and hard. See how firm these ice cream scoops are? The other locations are smaller, so their coolers cannot freeze the ice cream enough, and my cones start dripping as soon as I leave the shop. Thank you for your email updates on new flavor releases!

This is some of the best icecream in California Hands Down! My wife and I just traveled the country and this is in the top 5 for sure. Solid cream base and the flavors are spot on. The only thing I'd want more is a rewards card! Keep up the good work!🤙🏻

On a recent hot day, I was doing photos in AG Village & the Farmers Market & I happened to get very thirsty. While a nice Farmers Market juice helped, it was not what I wanted. I then happened to cruise by Rori's. While I heard about the drama with the old store here, I had not tried the new one yet.

I somehow needed a refreshing shake. After consulting with the bright young workers, I decided upon a Coffee Shake.
Not too sweet, not too coffee bitter...
but just right.

In short, it was amazing.

If one looks at the prices here, it is easy to figure out the logic. All prices are slanted toward the high end, but if one looks carefully, the larger sizes are a much better deal. One scoop items are not much more in price if one up sizes.

It may seem a bit odd, but the ice cream is excellent.

Sadly, like most ice creams now, the some flavors can seem faddish. I like to stick with clean simple flavors that are not that sweet. I cannot stand IC that has too much "junk" in it.

Great Ice cream should have clean tones and notes, and fill one's heart with the pleasure of having tasted ambrosia.

After all, I was one of the best Ice Cream store managers in Brooklyn, back in the day. Our Carvel store was the highest producing store in the entire state of New York. I would personally make products & restock the entire store over the weekend, without any sleep. I made ice cream into cakes, pies, sandwiches, tubs, and you name it.

If anyone knows the innards & intimate facts about "Wally The Whale", it is me.

I sure love great ice cream....and that is what they produce & sell here.

There is really nothing better than walking around AG Village with a cone, sundae, or shake to make it a great day in the village.

MAKE ICE-CREAM GREAT AGAIN!

MIGA 😉

Thanks Rori's!!!!

I'd like to second the opinions of the other reviewers, the staff is SO patient and kind. I love ice cream and can never decide what to get so keep up the good work! Highly recommend the espresso...it's the ultimate cuppa joe (each scoop has a cup of espresso in it). My pal got it and the Chocolate Monster (with brownie bits) and we were able to drive all the way home to the desert, no problem, lol. This place is clean and such a community treasure!
And, forgot to mention this is some excellent dense artisanal ice cream for sure, and the fact that you can Mix one scoop with two flavors is such a great concept for folks like me who cannot decide, but don't want to get two scoops. Such a kind gesture, very much appreciated. Feels human and not corporate:)

So been here before and it was very good. Brought 3 of my kids here tonight from Pismo to be told after we walked in that they were closed! AS WE WERE INSIDE! The young man behind counter was literally scooping ice cream. Where I come from, you serve the folks who come to support your establishment. If you’re closed then close the door. This is not how to say thanks to repeat customers. May not return after this kind of experience. We’ll find another place for family ice cream tonight but sucks for the kids.

Fun flavors, honey lavender was a must for me but I had to give a few of the other flavors a try. Definitely something for everyone and the scoops were generous! I wish I’d taken a picture of my ~delicious~ ice cream but I was too distracted by the cute little train chugging along the track.

I ordered a sundae with chocolate fudge syrup. What i got was a cup with maybe 2 half scoops of ice cream smashed at the bottom. Then 3/4 of the cup was filled with whip cream and a little drizzle of chocolate syrup on top. I paid $10 plus a 20 % tip. When I paid, I didn't know how much ice cream was in the cup. I could have taken my $10 to the store and bought a gallon of ice cream and chocolate syrup. Then I could have ice cream for the rest of the week. Save your money and go to the store and buy ice cream.
