Came here on Saturday night after I had double checked the store hours; online & by contacting their store via phone,(the automated answering service confirmed that the Alameda location is open until 8pm).

Well, whomever runs this location...the store manager and/or regular employees are shutting down the shop 15 minutes before ya'll are supposed to close! I came here with 15 minutes so shop & everything was locked & shut off.

Really dissapointed & pissed. Whatever employee(s) and/or manager(s) had the closing shift today, Saturday November 16th should be reprimanded & retrained correctly on the basic concept of not closing before your store is supposed to. I can understand closing shop a FEW minutes before 8pm...BUT 15 minutes?! Completely unacceptable.

Salvation Army just made the horrible change GW did a few years ago, and now they can price at their discretion. It’s no longer about helping people, it’s now about corporate greed. How can a homeless or nearly homeless person afford a used TShirt for $8 The employees did NOT receive raises despite the price hikes (I called the corporate office and asked, when I called to complain about the price increase). And you can’t even try on the clothes as they have closed the dressing rooms permanently, yet there are no refunds, just exchanges. Salvation Army has now turned evil just like Goodwill. Lining the pockets of the owners, exploiting their employees, and prohibiting financially struggling people to buy DONATED clothing. Meanwhile there are literal MOUNTAINS of used clothing created from unsold thrift store clothes. If they halved their prices instead of raised them, they’d sell three times or more the amount of clothing. Shame on you, Salvation Army.

Greedy and dishonest. Rude and overpriced.

If you think you found a good price and take it to the register half the time they will say NO and REPRICE THE ITEM and try to say you changed the price tag.

Broken merchandise for sometimes triple the price as new.

Clothing used to be decently cheap but recently they started to INDIVIDUALLY PRICE all clothing only time it’s ok prices is Half off even then the prices are only ok. They don’t know the difference between men and women jeans and usually only have women’s jeans marked as men’s

If something is packaged together as a set and only one of the items is priced to will multiply the cost by the number of items in the set. A set of curtains with only one side priced, they will charge you DOUBLE for the full set EVEN WHEN ITS CLEARLY MARKED TO BE SOLD AS A SET.

On top of everything THEY DON’T ACCEPT RETURNS, and no they don’t test the merchandise they sell

Absolutely Horrible Service: M

Most of us know that we are walking into an place the sells throw away items that people have used, but this place will literally put a price on absolute garbage.

Came across a box of very old electronics for random videogame systems and was interested because I repair them. I trouble shot a bunch of them with my own gear and came down to only two controllers. One was operational and the other not.

I approach the teller about it because I still wanted it for its casing and deserved a better price for something that is no operational. She quickly avoided me off to a manager in the back of the store. I then began to explain yo the manger that I wanted the nonfunctional one to but for a reduced price and she told me there is nothing she can do.

I explained that they are basically selling garbage as no one is going to waste there time and money on something that doesn't work. She then lies to my face telling me that they have technicians that check the items and I told her I can show you right now that it doesn't work.

She then tells me no, then walks off without a word.

This is not the first time I have experienced this type of poor customer service and attitude at this place. I understand the wage is probably not high for these employees but a bit more appreciation for getting paid to sell second, third and so on hand items is need.

There is no need for such behavior at all working at a place where you are nickel and diming for things people are giving away just to keep your business going.
