I stopped by The Shindig to pick up a quick bite. It is a great spot and I plan to go back to watch the soccer match. They rotate food trucks to have sweet and savory. I pick up a shaved ice at a truck. Then fries and 2 tacos at Locua. It's a very relaxed vibe that's perfect for everyone.

We LOVE this place. Since COVID the fun places for kids to be kids in our area have closed and The Shindig filld that gap plus some. If you liked The Lot, this is even better. There are so many fun things for kids to do, and I love being able to have a "date night" with my hubs while the kids play their little hearts out.

My daughter is a free spirit, and not once have I gotten the side eye from these ladies or their staff, they encourage kids to be kids and have fun! I'm fact, my kids love them and hug them when they see them. Accidental fall? They've got bandaids. They've got hand wipes, they've got water, they've got multiple bathrooms, your kids can literally run, jump, play and live their best lives.

Their fries are the bomb, don't sit on the pork tacos like I did (OMG SO GOOD), the elotes are amazing, and we really like the smash burgers.

10/10 recommend, and they are so involved in the community! Love them, and this review is truly as a fan. I did not know Kam and Teri before I met them through The Shindig but they are AMAZING humans. You will have a blast and eat really well.

First time we loved the atmosphere! We had awesome margaritas and a appetizer platter from the food truck. When we were leaving we wanted to order some food to go. So I ordered fries with cheese and a smothered hot dog from Locura. I was so excited to go home and eat! But unfortunately they forgot the cheese on my fries!😭 I still love the place but next time I will check my order.

We love the Shindig! It brings a much-needed family-friendly spot to the area. They've made it INCREDIBLY kid- and dog-friendly. There are lots of games, snacks, restrooms, parking, holiday activities, a fire pit... you name it! The folks who work there are so friendly. Having Locura on site is so convenient -- their pork bites are one of the best things I've eaten in awhile!

The Shindig also has a bar with great & affordable cocktails. It truly is the best place to spend an afternoon with your family.

Y'all, don't judge a book by it's cover. Yes, this area is historically rough, but there are so many improvements coming to Samuell Blvd in the coming months and years. The Shindig is fenced-in with a gate, etc.

This place has becoming one of our favorite hangout spots.

Fantastic if you have kids with you! Big enclosed courtyard with an open area with ping pong, play surfaces, chicken pen. Loads of picnic tables on the other side. Kids can burn off some energy, adults can relax. Good food.

I came here with my family and we had so much fun! I loved the creativity in the food such as the rainbow grilled cheese. I will definitely be coming again. Service was so good, I lost my phone and they went out of their way to get it back for me. 10/10 overall💗
