When a screenwriter friend told me about Voyage Media, I didn't have any doubt whatsoever that this is my next step in my screenwriting journey. After discussing it with my wife, we agreed that Voyage Media was the way to go. After getting all set up and deciding which screenplay we were going to put through the process, I was assigned a producer to work on the script with me. My relationship with this producer was exceptional and the one thing that I really liked about him, was that he did not insist that I do things his way, but he gave me advice, insight and suggestions that really made me think and dig deep into my bag of creativity and just write my story. A few months later we had a finish product: my screenplay, titled "Little Jake". What I learned and accomplished with Voyage Media is priceless. Here, I thought, after writing nearly twenty full length screenplays, that I knew it all. It turns out, I didn't. But I am proud to say that I am a much better screenwriter now than I was before I began my journey with Voyage Media. I highly recommend Voyage Media to any screenwriter who wants to achieve excellence and raise their screenwriting to a whole new level.

I've found Voyage Media to be very professional, straightforward, and honest about their process. I was given options for adapting my book to a screenplay and chose to work with producer, Franchesca Lantz, to adapt the book myself (with her direct guidance). Yes, there is a cost. But I would have paid much more if I had someone else adapt my story. I learned an enormous amount of valuable information in our sessions and it came directly from the people who work in the industry. I have been offered a shopping agreement for my screenplay and have since submitted a second one that I was able to write on my own due to Franchesca's excellent teaching. Voyage Media is giving me an opportunity that I never thought would be available. They don't make promises, but I wouldn't be this far without them.

I have children's books and novels published, and though the world of writing and producing movies and TV series has always fascinated me, it seemed completely unobtainable from where I live and create. Working with Voyage has opened that door and skillfully guided me through. Both of my novels - Convergent, a thought-provoking thriller, and Chandler's List, a romantic comedy - came with me to Voyage already published with marketable premises, compelling stories and developed characters. Insights and suggestions gained by working directly with producer Joshua Malkin has further developed and molded both of these stories to: enhance the story beats for better movie structure, give more depth and complexity to the characters, take out details and scenes that bogged down the story, add new scenes that better portrayed the goals of the characters, and gave them more complete and satisfying story resolutions. The writing was all mine, employing Joshua skilled advice. Chandler's List is now a Voyage Original, and is in the development stage. The world needs more and better comedies, and Voyage and Joshua are now using all their resources to make Chandler's List available to the industry, and the world. I could not have done this without their skill and resources.

Voyage Media opened doors for me. Years ago, as an aspiring screenwriter, I experienced the frustrating brick wall plenty of times just trying to get the attention of an agent. Now, as the author of a novel, I knew that trying to get my story on the “big screen” was going to be a long shot.
