Brought 2 cameras for repair. The person I spoke with gave me a $ estimate and a turnaround time of a couple of weeks. They called me about a week later to update and ask if I wanted to do additional repairs since one camera had some corrosion in the battery compartment and needed new seals and the other had a lens that wouldn't lock onto the body. After confirming I only needed the repairs we initially spoke about I got a call a couple of days later that they were both ready for pickup. Price was reasonable. Both reps were cool to chat with. Payment was Venmo, but they also take cash or Zelle. Just a heads up that street parking might be tough but if you go during the week it might not be too bad. I went on a Saturday and it took a minute to find a spot. Def will use them again.

I’ve used Walter’s before and they continued to do a great job on my recent visit. They were able fix a pressure plate issue on my Yashica A (and give it a great tune up while it was in) and they also did a great job my notoriously hard to service Fuji GA645. They were able to source a new LED display and fix an electrical issue in the camera. It wasn’t super fast and wasn’t cheap but it got the job done and the cameras are brought back to life. They communicated the pricing and repair timeline clearly and were helpful and responsive when I called for an update.

This company is absolute garbage. I sent my Bauer A512 to them on good faith after a conversation over the phone. That was over 9 months ago. Since that time they’ve given me a plethora of misinformation and just plain lied to me on countless phone calls, which led to them ignoring my calls eventually. Seriously, just try and call them. Their voicemail isn’t even setup. This guy went from telling me to be patient and they could fix it, to 6 months ago telling me they couldn’t fix it and needed to put it back together, then not calling me for three months because they forgot to ship it back. I’ve been so patient and politely until now. I even had three calls with them after it was put back together where he said he was going to ship it back. Those call have spanned almost 5 months. TODAY, I called them and said if you don’t send it back I am filing a police report, and they hung UP on me, and won’t answer their phone now. I Off to file a police report! Good thing I have all these calls recorded for proof! Walter, you had best send my property back.

The best in LA. Every film camera issue I’ve had, wether it be with my hasselblad, Nikon or yashica, Rodolfo has been able to fix within a day or 2. Super reliable and knowledgeable.

If you have a camera that has been with them to be repaired for a few months, save yourself the hassle and just go pick it up instead of waiting half a year or more.

We left a camera in March 2024 to be repaired and after us calling them on a monthly basis and never receiving an answer, I grew worried they might’ve resold or discarded it. I finally drove to the business to pick it up and was told they couldn’t fix it because there were no parts available. I appreciated the honesty, but they could’ve avoided our camera collecting dust in their back room and called us months sooner.

The guy at the front desk was nice, he didn’t give me a run around or display any hostility. Just make sure to bring your slip as proof of your camera being there.

Hopefully we can find somewhere else to repair our camera from 2007.

Surprised to see so many negative reviews -- I love this place and have had nothing but great experiences! They repaired a film camera I got for free at a yard sale for around $50 and Jorge has developed countless rolls of film shot on that camera for me, including precious wedding memories! He develops same day for a super affordable price (currently around $12) and emails the scans via Dropbox. Love this small biz!

They scammed me, they told me it would cost me $400 to repair the issue I had with my camera. I gave it to them to fix and when I got it back I noticed it would over heat so I took it back to them and they said they will have another look at it. My camera ended up being left in their shop for over a year. I’ve called every month asking for updates but they always told me they were looking for parts. It seemed like they were getting frustrated when I even called asking about MY camera. I was being very patient with them. After a while I grew concerned and asked them for another update, I told them my camera has been there for over a year now and they said that was “impossible” and they don’t keep cameras that long here. After being on the phone with them that same day they said the camera was “ready” so I went to go pick it up. They said it was fully tested and working. I took it home and shot a roll of film with it and noticed it still had the same issue and many more NEW issues this time. I called and finally asked for my money back because they had not fixed anything with the camera they in fact made it so much worse. They said they will not be refunding my money after I kept saying they never even tested the camera after they said it was completely fixed. Completely scammed me out of my money. I paid them to do something and they didn’t do it all. The worst of the whole thing they kept saying they don’t even remember having my camera in the shop when I told them it’s been over a year when I called to complain. They even asked me “why didn’t you come pick it up sooner” cuz you guys never called saying it was ready when you said you would and even when I called you said you were “working on it” Dont go to them, they rude as hell when you try and talk to them too. How the hell you pay someone to do something and they don’t do and steal your money in the end.
